“Postponing the next edition of Subaru Winter Experience is of course a very hard decision to make, but we feel that we need to do our part to minimize the spread of COVID-19,” said Subaru Winter Experience founder Patrik Sandell.
“Our participants fly in to Wisconsin from all parts of America, and until we have a vaccine or the spread of the virus is under control, we feel that we have to take a step back. We look forward to returning to Eagle River once again as soon as it’s safe to do so.”
“Subaru of America regrets that we will not be able to produce Subaru Winter Experience in 2022,” said Bill Stokes, Subaru of America motorsports manager. “We share the disappointment with all of those who were looking forward to driving our cars on the ice this winter, but feel that the uncertainty of the situation means we must take every possible precaution for the health of participants and the local community. We look forward to working with FlatOut Sweden to explore our options for the event in the future.”
