The health and safety of our customers and staff is the most important aspect of operating the rally school during this difficult time. We have gone through extensive planning to ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible while following the protective guidelines of Washington State. For the time being, DirtFish remains closed to the general public and is only allowing registered guests onsite.
Below you will find a detailed overview of the procedures that we have put in place for your safety and ours.
All team members Self Certify before they come to work that they have not experienced any symptoms themselves or have come in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms.
While on the property, masks are required anywhere on the property that is indoors and whenever physical distancing considerations cannot be met outdoors. This includes inside of our offices and of course while instructing inside the rally cars.
Team members are also required to quarantine for 72 hours and then produce a negative test result after any out of state air travel or any other high risk exposure. These trips are also pre-approved by DirtFish. Lastly, each team member is doing their part to self sanitize. This includes rigorous hand washing, daily alchohol wipedowns of public touch surfaces, and bi-weekly fogging of all shared space.
When registering for a class, customers should note that we have some new requirements in order to ensure the safety of all our participants here at the DirtFish Rally School.
- You will be asked to complete a short survey certifying to the best of your knowledge, you have not come in contact with or experienced COVID-19 related symptoms in the 14 days prior to your arrival.
- DirtFish will have you sign in when entering the property. This will include gathering information that will be used only for contact tracing purposes (if not already on file), should we learn that someone in attendance during your program was positively diagnosed with COVID-19. The information we will gather (1 per household) will include, Date/Time you were at DirtFish, First/Last Name, Phone Number, Email.
- Branded DirtFish cloth masks will be distributed for the duration of your stay at DirtFish upon arrival. Should you be in a higher risk category, we also can provide an N95 mask to increase your level of PPE protection.
- The Classroom area will open up 15 minutes prior to the start of class. If you arrive early, you will be asked to stay outside or in your vehicle and practice physical distancing until the classroom opens.
- Mask required signs are placed throughout the property to identify where it is required to wear a mask. In general, if physical distancing cannot be practiced or you are indoors, masks are required. DirtFish has made specific changes to our office and classroom environments to allow physicaldistancing to be practiced so customers do not have to wear masks while in the classroom environment and at lunch.
- Sanitization stations are placed throughout the property to ensure your hands are clean before/after using touch surfaces. We ask that all customers use these stations regularly throughout their time at DirtFish.
The only difference with our private programs is you will be using a separate entrance and classroom space. This will be communicated prior to your arrival to ensure you know where to go.
At this time, spectator are not allowed unless they are on-site specifically to support a customer with a documented medical condition requiring support or a customer is under the age of 18 years old and requires a chaperone.
All spectators must have their own vehicle that will be led to/from each program exercise that the customer will be participating in. Spectators will also be required to comply with all other DirtFish COVID policies.
On top of the normal confirmation documents DirtFish provides leading up to your driving experience, registered drivers will be receiving a DirtFish form that allows you to pre-select your lunch order, sign all of our liability and release waivers, pick your helmet size, and share with us any other special requests you may have. This will allow us to have everything ready prior to your arrival and reduce in-person check-in time leading to more time behind the wheel driving!
Sanitization stations are placed throughout the property to ensure everyone on property can have clean hands before/after using touch surfaces. We ask that all customers use these stations regularly throughout their time at DirtFish. A complete sanitization of all touch surfaces in the DirtFish office is also done by staff daily. DirtFish vehicles touch services are wiped down between each use and fogged daily, and a deeper sanitization, including cleaning of all indoor areas and fogging is done bi-weekly.
New signage is placed throughout the property to help remind customers and staff where masks are required. Clean and Dirty bins at all stations that require the use of pens, and capacity is limited to areas that physical distancing is difficult like our transport vehicles, sim lounge, restrooms, and merchandise area.
In Rally cars and transportation vehicles, there are sanitization kits which include disinfectant spray & wipes, gloves, hand sanitizer, and extra masks. After each use, DirtFish staff will wipe down all the touch surfaces to ensure they are clean before the next use takes place. In addition, a deep cleaning is done at the end of each day throughout which includes fogging of the vehicles.
DirtFish has taken every possible precaution to ensure our customer’s safety inside our Rally Cars. Each car has its own sanitization kit that allows the instructor to wipe down and sanitize all touch surfaces after each driver exchange. We also will require our instructors and drivers to wear face coverings while in the car and also provided disposable gloves to use when driving should they not be comfortable with the sanitization after each driver exchange.
That all being said, only you can determine your own comfort level with our safety procedures and if what we have in place does not work for you, we will work together to reschedule your program to a later date.
Our curriculum remains the same and we have tested all of the program timing with our new procedures to ensure the same or greater amount of drive time is provided in the car.
From a DirtFish policy perspective, if you are able to journey here to DirtFish to participate in your driving program and comply with our new procedures, you are more than welcome! However, every country has different restrictions regarding travel so we recommend you look to your local government to receive guidance on this. The CDC has issued travel restrictions into the USA for certain countries which can be found here and, Washington State has guidelines on travel which can be found here.
From a DirtFish policy perspective, if you are able to journey here to DirtFish to participate in your driving program and comply with our new procedures, you are more than welcome! However, every state has different restrictions regarding travel so we recommend you look to your local government to receive guidance on this. Unfortunately, if customers are not willing to wear a mask under the guidelines issued by DirtFish, we will have to kindly ask that you reschedule your driving program to a later date when masks are not required. To date, we are not sure when that will be but will work with customers unwilling to wear masks to ensure they are notified when this does become an option.
Yes. DirtFish has masks available for anyone entering the property. This even includes our vendors if they do not already have a mask to wear. For driving customers, we even have DirtFish branded masks for you to use and keep!
Masks are required indoors and in areas where physical distancing is not possible. This includes areas like the Rally car, transport vehicles, restrooms, and other public areas like hallways of our building, our simulator lounge, etc.
All provided food and beverages have been adjusted to be single-use and disposable so that there isn’t a risk of contamination. We have recycling and compost on-site to reduce the environmental impact of this change.
Unfortunately, we have temporarily canceled our shop tours in order to reduce exposure risk and increase safety. That said, our instructors are knowledgeable about our rally cars so if you have a question, be sure to ask. If they cannot answer your questions, one of our shop technicians will be sure to get you the information during your visit.
The only difference with our private programs is you will be using a separate classroom space.
The DirtFish store will be “roped off,” allowing for only a limited number of customers in the space at one time. Masks and gloves will be required at all times in the store to protect anyone looking at, or trying on clothing. There will also be a one way, entrance/exit with sanitization stations on both ends to keep yourself and the merchandise clean.
Yes, the simulator lounge will be open for anyone who is on property. However, we will be limiting the number of people in the room at once and requiring masks and gloves to be worn while inside.
